PRS Guitars P245 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar Launched
The new PRS Guitars P245 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar is designed for guitarists who prefer a shorter scale neck with the ability to source electric and authentic acoustic sounds from one guitar.

The 22 fret 24.5″ scale length mahogany neck has a rosewood fretboard and the usual PRS fret markers. The figured maple top has an LR Baggs/PRS peizo system, with two output jacks to plug directly into an amplifier or DI into a soundboard.
The P245 Semi-Hollow features the new 58/15 treble and bass pickups personally designed by Paul Reed Smith with vintage style, exceptional clarity and focused mid-range. And a separate blend control means the electric pickups and acoustic sounds can be blended through a single output.
“This guitar provides players with the traditional electric guitar tones of yesteryear [similar to our SC245] and authentic acoustic tones in a single instrument. A wonderfully diverse short scale guitar you can rely on night after night,” said Jim Cullen, PRS National Sales Manager.
A wide range of finishes are available for the P245; Antique White, Azul, Black, Black Cherry, Black Gold Burst, Blood Orange, Charcoal Burst, Faded Vintage Yellow, Faded Whale Blue, Gold Top (opaque color), Gray Black, Honey, Jade, Royal Blue, Scarlet Red, Tortoise Shell, Vintage Sunburst, Violet.
And if you want to be even more different, the P245 is also available in a PRS Artist Package, which allows you to add upgrade and expanded options to your guitar. But as standard, the vintage-style single-cutaway looks pretty stylish.
